What is a Family Learning Event?

Our Family Learning Events (FLE) engage children and families in scientific experiences. Utilizing arts and hands-on learning activities, we expose learners to a central theme. The topics that we focus on include STEM and health topics that are centered around a specific body system or health concept, and may be related to a specific disorder or diagnosis.

This hands-on experience helps to improve understanding of the integration between STEM concepts and health, while reinforcing many of the concepts taught in school. Families are encouraged to bring children of all ages and extended family members.
